Must a one percent (1%) sales and use tax be levied in the Town of Salem for no more than eight (8) years for the purpose of allowing a credit against certain municipal ad valorem tax liability and for the purpose of raising the amounts specified for the following purposes?
1. $230,000 - Main Street repair and revitalization — design and construction for curbing, sidewalks, drainage, and retaining wall (Rock Wall).
2. $192,000 - Town Hall updates, modernization, repairs, and renovation — design, construction, and creation of additional work space for government services.
3. $63,000 — Basketball and Tennis courts - structural upgrades, ADA compliance, and resurfacing.
4. $62,000 — Municipal parking lot and Salem Town Park repaving.
5. $23,000 — Design and construction of new paved parking area at the Salem Police Department.
Total: $570,000.

INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTERS: All qualified electors of the Town of Salem desiring to vote in favor of imposing the tax for the stated purpose of allowing a credit against certain municipal ad valorem tax liability (municipal property taxes) and for the purpose of raising the amount specified above shall vote "YES," and all qualified electors opposed to levying the tax shall vote "NO."
