Referendum Text
Must a one percent sales and use tax be levied in the City of Walhalla, South Carolina for no more than eight years for the purpose of allowing a credit against certain municipal ad valorem tax liability and for the purpose of raising the amounts specified for the following purposes?
Priority one projects:
1. $125,000.00 for Fire Station Generator and Installation (emergency response buildings)
2. $40,000.00 for Fire Station HVAC Replacement (emergency response buildings)
3. $25,000.00 for Fire Station Security Cameras & Locks (emergency response buildings)
4. $150,000.00 for Police Station Generator and Installation (police facilities)
5. $200,000.00 for Police Sally Port Construction (police facilities)
6. $220,000.00 for Depot Pond Drainage and Pipe Restoration (drainage systems)
7. $250,000.00 for Kaufman Square repairs and improvements (public assembly facilities)
Priority two projects:
8. $365,000.00 for Sertoma Parking Restoration (public parking lots)
9. $350,000.00 for Public Facilities Sidewalk Repairs (streets and related facilities)
10. $210,000.00 for City Hall Parking & Driveway Repairs (public parking lots)
11. $200,000.00 for Community Center Generator and Installation (emergency response buildings)
Priority three project:
12. $600,000.00 for City Hall Expansion (public assembly facilities)
